Thank you Note Examples of Gratitude

I landed my first two jobs out of college, by using thank you notes to stand out in my interview process. I was the only candidate that used them, both times.
Later on, in building my social networking company, I used thank you notes to build invaluable loyalty with partners, and repeat business with advertisers.
Thank you notes work.
How to write memorable thank you notes that are treasured forever.
| | How to show thanks:Any thank you note that you write should incorporate these five things: - Heartfelt
- Specific
- Timely - Don't let more than a few days pass before sending one out
- Unexpected - No need to announce to the recipient that you're sending a card. Everyone loves an unexpected gift.
- Personalized - Dentist offices are great at sending appointment reminders in the mail. But they're not personalized. And so they become just another piece of mail. Have something about your most recent conversation. Ask after their business, or family, or their health.

How to design remarkable thank you notes that stand out
- Take photos that describe the setting or person in question. If you're able, have someone take a photo of the two of you together - and use this on the front of the card. This reminds the recipient of who you are. But more importantly, with their picture on the card they're more likely to keep that card on their desk!
- Incorporate their logo. You could also use a scanned image of their business card.
- Let your personality shine through. Don't be so buttoned-up. Be human. Humor, emotion, wit... include what comes naturally to you.

How to get into the habit of sending thank you notes
I admit - it's not the easiest thing to consistently send out thak you notes. - You have to go to the store, and buy the perfect card. You're often limited by what's available (which is never quite perfect.)
- You have to find a quiet moment to compose your message
- You have to ensure you have stamps. Or else, you're off to the post office.
- And really - forget about all that fancy personalizing.
