Rat Race Escape Plan
Every rat racer needs a good rat race escape plan... just like a jail breaker needs an escape map. Here's a work sheet that will help you define the WHY and HOW of your Rat Race Escape.
As you step through each area of this site, you will get a lot more context on each of these escape plan sections. Reading through each page on the site should help you create your own plan.
Find Your Buried Cheese (Your True Calling):
"The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. The very most you can do is to live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance, but live right under the roots of that hope." - Barbara Kingsolver
Dreamlines:
- List 3 things you want to HAVE in the next 3 months
- 3 things you want to DO in the next 3 months
- 3 things you want to BE in the next 3 months
Primary Aim:
- “Who do I want to be?”
- “How do I wish my life to be on a daily basis?”
- "What would I like to be doing 1, 2, and 5 years from now? What about 10 years from now?
- I'm attending an event 10 years from now, honoring you. What will they be honoring you for? (Or, if you like, picture a high school / college reunion 10 years from now)

The Plan is Ready - How do I Start My Escape?
Fill your tank up with gas, and your back seat with snacks. And get a riding partner. - Identify 3 books that you will skim this month, for motivation.
- Find 3 people who have gone where you're going. Ask for their advice along the way.
- Find 3 people that will encourage you along the way. Avoid naysayers.
