How to increase sales up to 10-fold. Without spending a dime on advertising.
Every business wants to increase sales. It's no different for those online. And as with our brick-and-mortar counterparts, pre-selling is more important than ever.
What is Pre-selling? PRE-selling is the key to increasing sales. PRE-selling is the online version of relationship-building. PRE-selling warms up visitors, and builds trust and respect... And it increases sales with alarming regularity.
What happens when you act like a car salesman?
I found this to be the case... in my eagerness to earn passive income, I experimented with sending my visitors directly to affiliate products. No context. No dialogue, about the visitor's needs. No personal testimony. No pre-selling. How much did I increase sales by? No one wanted to do business with me. (I guess they could smell the desperation! LOL!)
When people want to do business with you...
It's because they like you. And they like you...Because you took the time to build a relationship.
It can't be faked. People see through the hustlers. The "get-rich-quick" schemers. The snake oil salesmen. When you decide to build a business online, you can't become swayed by the get-rich quick crowd, and believe that wealth will come flowing easily. If you just find the right magic potion. If you just stumble on the right business model.
No "overnight success" happens overnight. But success does happen. If you're willing to roll up your sleeves, and do it the right way. Building relationships, and putting the customer first, can't be faked. But it can be learned. And you can learn it.
But I can't write like that!
- Forget everything you learned about writing in school.
- Write friendly. The way you talk.
- Write short, sharp, active sentences.
Winning pre-selling content: - Has that "been there, done that" voice
- Has specific knowledge that comes from real experience.
- Supports a depth of useful info. The riches are in the niches. Go deep in your area of focus.
- is spun in a way that is uniquely yours. Do you.
Ultimately, you are pre-selling to bring value to the customer. And if you've done your job right, you will increase sales. There are 3 things you want to ensure you get right, in order for your pre-selling efforts to result in sales, with regularity:
- Presenting a clean, intuitive, professional-looking "Look & Feel"
- Keep It Simple! Even if you have superb design skills. - The web is a communication medium, not a design showcase.
- Using your words to OVER-deliver SPECIFIC answers to your visitors' questions.
- Convey your message in a clear, concise, and confidence-inspiring manner.
- Communicating effectively, and in a voice that is uniquely yours. Don't try to be Chris Brogan, or Seth Godin. Be you. The world needs YOUR voice.
- Furthermore, most businesses speak AT instead of TO their visitor. Please don't be one of them.
I learned how to write winning pre-selling content, and increase sales, from Ken Evoy's free eBook: "Make Your Content Pre-Sell".This 128-page eBook download is packed full with guidance, experience, examples, and motivation. My early dismal results deterred me at first. But I got back to the basics, re-read "Make Your Content Pre-Sell", and have seen a turnaround.
I think you will, too.
