Best Affiliate Programs (for me)

Not sure where to get started... what products to offer? I faced this dilemma after initially reading up on Affiliate Marketing.

So here are the things you will find in the BEST affiliate programs:

  • 2-tier commissions
Most affiliate programs offer 1-tier commissions. This means that you make commissions on people that you refer to the seller. But if those people become affiliates of the seller, you make nothing off of their referrals. Learn about 2-tier commissions.

  • Residual / Lifetime commissions
Most affiliate programs offer commissions on the single transaction that takes place when a customer clicks through from your site to the merchant's site. But the best programs give you credit beyond that! Learn about residual / lifetime commissions.

  • Duration of time between click-through and purchase
Most customers won't purchase a product on their very first click-through. Many will come back days, weeks, or even months later, and make the purchase then. Learn about cookies, and how long merchants let them last.

  • Good fit for YOU and YOUR target audience:
Above all, there is no absolute best for everyone. Take a look at what you would be interested in writing about. Take a look at the audience you'd enjoy speaking to. And then, pick affiliate programs that sit in that intersect.

Ann Sieg's "The Renegade Network Marketer"

Ann Sieg's The Renegade Network Marketer
If you'd like to learn how to attract pre-qualified leads to you... rather than chasing people down... I highly recommend checking out the break-through new ebook - 'The Renegade Network Marketer.' You'll learn some of the guarded secrets of the Multi-Level (or Network) Marketing industry that were previously only enjoyed by the top 3% of all earners.

If you'd prefer to kind of dip your toe in the water first, here's a GREAT (and totally FREE) eBook from Ann Sieg, titled: The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.

This changed my whole view on Network Marketing - there is hope for an introvert like me after all! :)

Some others

  • Reverse Phone Detective
Ever been bothered by some random fax number calling you incessantly? Or wondered about an unfamiliar phone number on your phone bill? How about wondering who those missed calls were from? Reverse Phone Detective is a web browser based tool that will find out the owner of any cell phone or unlisted number. Target audience? Any user of a cell phone that has one of the above issues.

  • Paid Surveys, etc.
So, I for one didn't know that you could earn money for taking surveys online, participating in online focus groups, or even trying out new products and getting paid for it! I was familiar with mystery shopping, which my wife did for several years. So I knew this not unrealistic, and there was a market for it.The target audience? Work-at-home Moms, college students, and other people looking to earn some extra income in their spare time.

  • Kingdom of Pets - Sit, Stay Fetch
Being an animal-lover, and having tons of neighbors, friends, and family members with dogs, I selected this product over other more profitable ones. A good number of affiliates were able to sell it successfully, so I added it to my list of offers.

  • ClickBank.com's Marketplace is a very easy place to get started. You can browse products by category, and compare them based on the amount of commission per sale, the number of affiliates that are making money off of each product, and other factors.
